Damascus, SANA-Endowments Minister Mohammad Abul-Sattar al-Sayyed affirmed that Syria supports the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation until liberating Jerusalem and returning it to their real owners.
The Minister, meeting a delegation of the higher council of churches in Palestine, said that the attempts to displace Christians from Palestine is a conspiracy against the Arab nation, adding that targeting Syria was aimed to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
Ramzi Khouri, head of the Palestinian delegation, said that the Israeli aggression targets the Islamic and Christian sanctities alike in the series of its failed attempts to Judaize Jerusalem.
In a similar meeting with the visiting delegation, Syria’s grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun affirmed that the US-western- Zionist collusion to evacuate the region from Christians comes in the interest of the Zionist project.
