Syrian-Iraqi talks to enhance tourism, culture and antiquities cooperation

Baghdad, SANA- Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of Iraq, Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah means of tourism, culture and antiquities cooperation between the two countries and developing them.

Iraqi Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities said in a statement of which SANA reporter in Baghdad received a copy on Thursday that al-Hamdani affirmed that Iraq and Syria share much in common in culture, politics, tourism, and heritage and that requires the need for enhancing them to serve the interest of the two countries.

Al-Hamdani pointed out to the MOU signed in 2001 between the two countries and the possibility of developing it in line with the new phase through the joint Syrian-Iraqi committee.

For his part, al-Dandah voiced Syria’s keenness to cooperate with Iraq in culture, tourism, and antiquities fields, expressing readiness to provide all the required facilitations for the tourism groups in order to revitalize religious , medical, arts ,and sciences tourism.
