Temperatures to drop, snow expected over mountains

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become around average or slightly lower as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a relatively cold air mass.

Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy and the rainfalls will be heavy and accompanied by thunder sometimes in the western and northern areas.

Meanwhile snow will fall at night over the areas whose height exceeds 1400 meter.

The wind will be southwesterly with active gusts in the coastal, southern and central areas and the wind’s speed will exceed 80 km per hour while the sea waves will be high in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 13-7, Daraa 14-7, Homs 14-5, Lattakia 17-11, Aleppo 13-5 and Deir Ezzor 16-7.
