Belgrade, SANA- Activities of the 13th Plenary Session of the standing committees of Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean in kicked off in Belgrade, Serbia, with the participation of a delegation from the Syrian People’s Assembly.
Speaking at a session to discuss report of the standing committee for political and security cooperation, MP Jamal al-Qaderi called for lifting the unilateral coercive measures and the unjust economic blockade imposed on the Syrian people.
He also called on the participating parliaments to adopt a recommendation on preventing the foreign interference in Syria’s affairs, and the withdrawal of the foreign forces from the Syrian territory which are illegally present on it without the invitation of the Syrian government.
The two-day meeting, which involves 43 countries, reviews a number of draft laws on issues of priority to the Euro-Mediterranean area and the political and security developments in the Middle East region, in addition to draft resolutions on climate change and human rights.
