Aleppo, SANA – Governor of Aleppo Mohammad Wahid Aqqad and resident representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Syria Hanaa Sinjer inspected the polio vaccination campaign in its 9th phase in Aleppo.
The governor said the campaign aims at providing polio vaccination for over 240 thousand children across the province, adding that all measures to make the campaign a success have been taken.
For her part, Sinjer stressed the importance of the vaccination as it immunes children from a number of diseases, highlighting the importance of cooperation with the Ministry of Health and all authorities concerned as to make Syria free of this epidemic.
