Moscow, SANA – The United Nations Information Centre in Moscow announced that the UN Special Envoy to Syria Staffan De Mistura will visit the Russian capital next week.
Russia Today TV channel on Friday reported that De Mistura highly estimated Russia’s efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria and called for maintaining close communication with the Russians who play an efficient role to solve this issue.
During his visit to Beirut, De Mistura reiterated the necessity of political solution to the crisis in Syria.
He pointed out that the UN is doing its best to push forward the political process in Syria, adding “there is a common feeling that all activities that can be done by the region, in the region, inside Syria and outside in order to contain the terrorist threat is a clear priority.”
