Hassoun: Terrorist war waged against Syria aimed at undermining its principled stances

Damascus, SANA- Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmed Badereddin Hassoun stressed that the terrorist war waged against Syria aimed at undermining its solid and principled stances.

Hassoun’s remarks came during a meeting on Wednesday with a Jordanian delegation which is currently visiting Syria, and which embraces a number of committees’ chairmen at the Jordanian Parliament.

Hassoun called for enhancing joint work in the face of the Western attempts which aim at dividing the region and sowing separation among the ranks of the Arab nation to serve the interests of the Zionist enemy.

He affirmed the necessity of confronting the Takfiri and extremist mentality.

For their part, members of the delegation, headed by MP Abdul-Karim  al-Doghmi, expressed happiness over the return of security and stability to most of the Syrian territories.

The also expressed pride in the victories achieved by the Syrian people and army led by President Bashar al-Assad against terrorism.
