Lavrov: Participation of Russian Aerospace Forces contributed to eradicating terrorism in Syria

Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, said that the participation of the Russian Aerospace forces in the war against terrorism in Syria has contributed to eliminating the terrorist organizations there, pointing out that most states support Moscow’s approach in this regard.

During a meeting for Russian Council on International Relations on Tuesday, Lavrov pointed out to the necessity of settling the crisis in Syria in accordance with UNSC Resolution No. 2254, clarifying that most states support the Russian approach, which works on creating a convenient atmosphere for the current international system and the preservation of states’ sovereignty.

Resolution No. 2254 stipulates that the Syrians are the only side to determine the future of their own country without foreign interference, and that the terrorist organizations are out of any political process.
