Rome, SANA – The Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce participated in the meetings of the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce (JIACC) and the Italian Arab Business Forum held in Rome.
In a speech at the JIACC general assembly meeting, Chairman of Damascus Countryside Chamber Waseem Qattan, representing the Syrian Chambers of Commerce Federation, stressed the need to expand cooperation between the JIACC and Syrian chambers of commerce, as well as increasing trade exchange and economic relations between the two countries.
Qattan said that the Syrian Chambers of Commerce Federation looks forward to developing cooperation with other countries, stressing the importance of cooperating with the JIACC, particularly in light of the economic and investment activity currently witnessed in Syria.
He noted that despite all circumstances, Syrian products have competitive costs, quality, and diversity.
In a statement to SANA, Qattan said he held talks with heads of Arab and Italian chambers of commerce about prospect of economic and trade cooperation in light of the growing production in Syria and its considerable exportation potential.
