Darra, SANA- A center has been opened in Nassib border crossing with Jordan aimed at settling the legal status of the Syrian citizens who evaded mandatory or reserve military service.
Speaking to SANA, Head of the Immigration and Passports Center at the crossing, Mazen Ghandour said that every Syrian citizen who does not have identity documents and is willing to go back home via Nassib border crossing can visit the Syrian Embassy in Jordan in order to get a special passage ticket that enables the citizen to enter Syria and then be transferred to the civil affairs and the immigration branch to be granted identity papers later.
A number of citizens whose legal status had been settled pointed out the simplified facilitations adopted by the workers in the legal status settling center.
Ghandour clarified that the border crossing is witnessing a remarkable traffic movement as the number of the arrivals and the departing via the crossing reached 900 passengers on Wednesday and the number is expected to increase to 1000.
Nassib-Jaber border crossing between Syria and Jordan was re-opened on October 15 and traffic between the two countries started, ending a three-year closure due to the terrorists’ control of the border crossing.
