Moscow, SANA – Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said that countering terrorism in the Middle East shouldn’t be carried out in a unilateral manner but rather through collective efforts which include the governments of Syria, Iran, and Iraq.
In a press conference upon his meeting with Foreign Minister of Democratic Peoples republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Su-yong in Moscow on Wednesday, Lavrov said those who are taking unilateral measures to fight terrorism in the region are actually exposing the Middle East to more threats.
He pointed out that the reason behind the crises in the Middle East is that Washington has been unable to evaluate its policies throughout the last decade, adding that Russia will continue relaying on the UN Security Council’s resolutions in its policies regarding all regional and international issues.
