Water Resources Ministry moves ahead with preps as Damascus International Fair draws near

Damascus, SANA-The Ministry of Water Resources is continuing preparations to take part in the upcoming 60th edition of Damascus International Fair with a 70 square meter stand.

The stand will bring into the limelight the importance of the water sector in Syria and its significance for sustainable development.

The 60th edition of Damascus International Fair is due to be launched on Sep 6 through 15.

The ministry said in a statement SANA received a copy of that its allotted space in the fair will host stands showing executed water projects, models for vital and important projects in addition to screening documentary films on irrigation, dams and drinking water projects.

The ministry will seize the opportunity during the Fair to launch an awareness raising campaigns on the necessity of rationalizing water use through the distribution of publications and film materials, in addition to demonstrative leaflets about the ministry’s work and the bodies affiliated to it.

The ministry said the Fair sends a defiant message to the world stating that Syria is strong and unbowed by terrorism, according to the statement.
