Damascus, SANA – Activities of “Equipment of Factories & Manufacturing & Selling Productions Lines” exhibition (Prodex 2018) kicked off on Wednesday at Damascus Fairground City with the participation of more than 50 national and foreign companies.
The 4-day expo is organized by Seven Gates Company for organizing exhibitions and conferences in cooperation with the Syrian-Chinese Business Council and it gathers many famous brand names in fields of construction, building materials, textiles, food industry, plastics, packing and labeling, printing services and agricultural equipment.
In a press statement, Minister of Industry underlined the importance of this expo in putting spotlight on companies specialized with factories and production lines’ equipment with the aim of bringing the Syrian industry back to its former glory.
Head of the Syrian-Chinese Business Council, Mohammed Hamsho highlighted the Council’s efforts to further improve trade relations between Syria and China, noting the economic development Syria is undergoing thanks to the achievement of the Syrian Arab army.
He noted that the focus will be on rehabilitation of factories affected by terrorism.
For his part, China’s Ambassador to Syria, Qi Qianjin, said that the expo set a clear evidence on the recovery of Syria and the improvement of situation in all fields.
