Daraa Governor to ICRC delegation: Governorate didn’t exclude any town from receiving aid

Daraa, SANA – Daraa Governor Mohammad Khaled al-Hanous on Wednesday met a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), affirming to its members the Governorate’s readiness to cooperate with international organizations to deliver aid to those who need it.

He noted that the Governorate delivered all aid provided by the ICRC to the designated destinations, and that it’s working with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) to deliver aid to citizens, asserting that not a single town was excluded from receiving aid, adding that cooperation with the SARC resulted in sending aid convoys to the western and eastern regions of the province and around 13 tons of medical aid to 9 health centers in unsafe areas.

Al-Hanous said that the infrastructure in the province is good and that the health situation in it is stable, with hospitals and health centers providing free services, treatments, and vaccines to citizens despite recurring terrorist attacks on health facilities.

In turn, ICRC field coordinator Issam al-Isawi said that the organization is working to deliver aid with the help of the Syrian government which is facilitating this task and delivering aid to those who need it.
