Humanitarian aid provided by India to Syrians

Lattakia, SANA – Humanitarian aid, including food and medical materials, provided by India is planned to be distributed to hospitals and needy families in Syria.

The aid includes 2200 tons of foodstuffs and 70 tons of medicines and medical supplies.

Indian Ambassador to Syria Man Mohan Bhanot said that India has spared no effort to help Syria throughout the crisis as befits the deep friendly relations between the two peoples.

Speaking to SANA, Head of Lattakia Health Directorate said that the medical aid will alleviate the suffering of patients, raise the level of the care provided to them and answer to some medical needs as that have emerged due to the unjust siege imposed on Syria.

In a relevant context, Rector of Tishreen University Hani Shaaban discussed with the Indian Ambassador means of scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
