Algiers, SANA – Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia on Tuesday opened the 51st International Fair of Algiers.
Ouyahia visited the Syrian pavilion at the Fair and listened to a briefing by Minister Plenipotentiary at the Syrian Embassy in Algeria Afif Hamdan on Syria’s participation in the Fair.
In a statement to SANA, Hamdan stressed that Syria’s participation proves the vitality and activity of the Syrian economy despite terrorism.
He pointed out that various sectors of the Syrian economy have entered the recovery phase.
14 Syrian companies are participating in the current edition of the Fair, in addition to the General Union of Syrian Craftsmen, which exhibits a number of products that reflect the Syrian heritage and the high quality of Syrian production.
More than 700 Algerian, Arab, and foreign economic companies are participating in the activities of the Fair, which runs from May 8 to 13, with China as this year’s guest of honor.
