Rouhani: Foreign military presence in Syria is illegal

Tehran, SANA- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the foreign military presence in Syria, without permission of the Syrian government, is illegal and should stop.

Rouhani made his remarks prior leaving Tehran to Ankara to meet the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish Regime President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Rouhani stressed that the foreign interference and support of terrorism are still continuing in Syria, considering that the Zionist Entity’s interference in the country escalates the crisis.

The Iranian President said that the tripartite meeting in Turkey is a continuation of the efforts being made in Astana to end the war in Syria and settle the crisis there, stressing that the Syrian people are the only ones who determine the future of their country.
