Moscow, SANA – Tourism Minister, Bishr Yazagi, discussed Thursday with Head of Russian Federal Agency for Tourism, Oleg Safonov bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.
The two ministers discussed during the meeting the collaboration in the field of tourism, hotel and hospitality training, studying the possibility of establishing a joint Syrian-Russian company for the development of tourism sector.
Yazaji stressed Syria’s readiness to provide all facilities to the Russian companies, pointing out to the need for conducting well-thought-out study to prepare the return of Russian tourists to Syria.
In an interview with SANA’s correspondent in Moscow, Yazaji described the meeting with Safonov as important, adding that he reviewed the developments in the tourism industry through visiting Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition.
In turn, Safonov said that it is very important to cooperate in the field of tourism, especially that Syria is the cradle of civilizations and contains the most essential tourist attractions, including historical, cultural and religious heritage.
