Moscow, SANA – Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with Presidential Political and Media Advisor, Bouthaina Shaaban, the outcomes of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress recently held in the Russian city of Sochi.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that during the meeting, also attended by Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad, the two sides discussed the situation in Syria and the entire region, with focus laid on the need to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria that is based on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254.
“There was a thorough exchange of views concerning the outcome of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress, held in Sochi on January 30, as well as means to implement its decisions,” added the Ministry.
