Archbishop Hanna decries terrorists’ crimes in Syria and Iraq as disgrace for humanity

Los Angeles, SANA – Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia Atallah Hanna said that those who are seeking to destroy Syria and Iraq are the enemies of Palestine.

In an interview with al-Karmeh satellite TV channel, which is based in Los Angeles in the US, Archbishop Hanna condemned the crimes perpetrated by the armed terrorist organizations against the people in Syria and Iraq, citing killing, kidnapping and expelling people from their houses and home areas.

He made a particular reference to the abduction of the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo and Iskenderun, Bishop Paul Yazigi, and Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo, Bishop John Ibrahim, who have been kidnapped by terrorist organizations in the countryside of the northern province of Aleppo for about 500 days.

He decried the kidnappings of the two bishops and other “safe” citizens and the forced displacement of Christians in Iraq as “a disgrace for humanity,” calling for the release of the bishops and halting the funding and arming of the terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq, where they already hold sway over large swathes of territory in the two neighboring countries.
