Cairo, SANA- Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, and his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian, discussed ways to support the political solution in Syria in a way that preserves the territorial integrity of the state and its institutions.
The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Ahmed Abu Zeid, said in a statement on Friday that Minister Shoukry, during a phone call from his French counterpart, reviewed the latest developments in the region and the efforts exerted to activate the political process in Syria according to the reference of the UN Security Council resolution 2254.
According to Abu Zeid, the French minister voiced keenness to intensify coordination with Egypt on the crisis in Syria during the upcoming period.
