Army units establish full control over Euphrates basin in Deir Ezzor

DeirEzzor, SANA – A Military source announced on Wednesday that the Syrian Arab Army, in cooperation with allied forces, established full control over the Euphrates Basin in Deir Ezzor countryside after eliminating the last gathering of Daesh terrorist organization in the region.

The military source told SANA that the army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, have tightened their control on the Euphrates basin and extended security and stability to the towns and villages of al-Jalaa, and Qusoor Um Saba, al-Safafa, EJrajeh, Hakel al-wared, al-Salihih and al-Sabkha and al-Totahih, al-abbas, al-Mara, Shummar, al-layg, al-Kta’ah, al-Taresh,  JabalNsouriya, al-Baqa’an, al-Ramadi, Tel-Benni, Tal-Khanzeer, al-Hsrat, al-Aliawi, al-Ghabrah, al-Ashayer, al-Hurryah, Qlaat Mary and al-Sayyal, in addition to securing the highways of al-Mayadeen – DeirEzzor and al-Mayadeen – Abu Kamal.

It added that the army operations ended up with the killing of a large number of Daesh terrorists and destroying dozens of armored tanks and vehicles equipped with machine guns, as well as dismantling five explosives and a number of car bombs, seizing big quantities of ammunition and various weapons.
