Damascus, SANA- A marathon was launched on Friday from the Law Faculty to Tishreen Park in Damascus in support of the wounded personnel of the Internal Security Forces and in recognition of the sacrifices they made to defend the homeland.
Tourism and Interior Ministries organized the event in cooperation with youth and local activities.
Speaking to SANA, a number of the participants in the marathon said that the event is a message that Syria is recovering thanks to the sacrifices of the wounded and martyrs.
In turn, Sirin al-Akel from the Executive Directorate of the National Business Center said that 300 persons participated in the marathon, which is a social developmental event, including members of the National Union of Syrian Students.
After the marathon was completed, an artistic concert was held at the Roman amphitheater in Tishreen Park in addition to honoring 20 of the injured personnel of the Internal Security Forces and Police.
