Damascus, SANA- Some 3016 students from the first secondary grade qualified for the third stage of the Syrian Science Olympiad’s competitions in the subjects of math, physics, chemistry, IT and biology.
Head of the National Commission for the Syrian Science Olympiad Imad al-Azab told SANA that the third stage on the level of the provinces will be held on November 26th.
The competitions of the second stage were held last Sunday, with the participation of 23817 students from all provinces.
The final winners of the competitions will take courses to participate in the international Olympiads scheduled summer, with the Mathematics Olympiad in Romania , physics in Portugal, chemistry in Czech, IT in Japan and biology in Iran.
Syria has earned 18 achievements through participation in international and continental Olympiads, including medals and certificates of appreciation.
