Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will remain below average from 2 to 3 degrees as the country is still being affected by a southeastern superficial low air pressure accompanied by moderate wet southwesterly air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy in general; heavy rain showers accompanied with thunder are expected at night on the northern, western and coastal areas.
The winds will be changeable to northwesterly of low to moderate seed with active gusts, while the sea waves will be low to moderate in amplitude.
Rain fell in a number of Syrian provinces; the heaviest rain amounts during the past 24 hours, according to the rain bulletin issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, reached 50mm in Lattakia, 7mm in Damascus Countryside, 6mm in Homs, 25mm in Hama, 3mm in Aleppo and 2mm in Hasaka.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 25/11, Homs 23/12, Hama 24/12, Lattakia 24/17, Aleppo 26/11 and Deir Ezzor 30/13.
