Damascus, SANA- Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan received on Sunday a delegation of Syrian expatriates living in the US.
Sousan briefed the delegation on the latest developments of the situations in Syria, indicating that the hostile policies of the successive US administrations are the main reasons behind the state of tension witnessed across the world.
He added that the US, by virtue of its responsibilities as a major power with regard to preserving the international peace and security, should have adopted policies that contribute to encouraging cooperation and understanding between the countries and nations to reach common points, which would lead to a détente on the international arena and would guarantee security and prosperity for all.
Sousan reaffirmed the determination of the Syrian people and Armed Forces to pursue the remnants of the Takfiri terrorists and to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and its independent decision-making.
He affirmed that no one is allowed to interfere in Syria’s internal affairs and that the future of Syria is the choice of the Syrian people only, expressing high appreciation for the role played by the Syrian expatriates across the world in conveying the true image about what is taking place in Syria.
For their part, members of the delegation said that they are fully aware of what Syria is facing, expressing pride in the legendary steadfastness of the Syrian people and Armed Forces in face of the Takfiri terrorism.
They also voiced readiness to continue working in their countries of residence to explain the reality of the aggression launched against Syria.
