Damascus, SANA – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad affirmed the importance of the successive victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in cooperation with its allies between Aleppo through the Syrian al-Badia and towards Juroud Arsal.
Mikdad made his remarks in a phone interview with al-Manar TV on Thursday.
He said that the Syrian Arab army and the resistance in all its formations will continue to confront terrorism and those who support it,” expressing hope that “the great victory over terrorism is just around the corner, and we in Syria are optimistic as we have always been since the beginning of this confrontation because we believe that the terrorism can not win over people.”
Mikdad said that “the achievements on both sides of the Syrian-Lebanese border in Juroud Arsal and Flita is a message addressed to everyone who wants to understand the future and learn from these lessons, noting that the steadfastness of the Syrian people, leadership and army, and the support of the resistance in Lebanon and the friends in Iran and Russia have changed the balances in Syria, the region and the world.
He said that the Syrian people have finally proved to all countries which have strategic ties with Israel that the latter’s plan to destroy Syria has failed.
