Al-Qadiri: Anti-terrorism int’l trade union conference to be held in Damascus next September

Damascus, SANA – Chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU) Jamal al-Qadiri affirmed during a meeting with an Egyptian labor delegation on Monday the importance of cooperation between the two sides for the benefit of workers in the two brotherly countries.

Al-Qadiri pointed out that an international trade union conference against terrorism and the policies of siege and starvation practiced by the dominant countries of the United Nations Security Council will be held in Damascus in September with the participation of more than 100 international and Arab labor organizations.

In turn, Chairman of the Egyptian General Union of Maritime Transport Workers Hussam Eddien Mustafa referred to the full coordination between the trade unions in the two countries in all international labor forums, whether in the International Labor Organization (ILO) or the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).
