Aleppo, SANA – Five civilians were killed when armed groups fired shells on the southern Halab al-Jadida neighborhood in Aleppo city, in a new breach of the Russian memorandum on de-escalation zones.
A source at Aleppo Police Command told SANA that armed groups positioned in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo fired three shells on citizens’ houses in the southern Halab al-Jadida neighborhood.
Five persons were killed due to the attack, in addition to the injuring of many others, most of them are children and women, who were rushed to al-Razi and the University hospitals for treatment, according to the source.
On Sunday, a person was killed in a rocket shell attack on al-Qanjara village in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
