Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on his U.S. counterpart Rex Tillerson to firmly abide by agreements reached on political settlement of crisis in Syria.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Lavrov told Tillerson in a phone call that the US-led coalition practices in Syria violate its sovereignty.
According to the Ministry, the two Ministers discussed the new US sanctions against Russia and their negative impact on the Russian-US ties, and the situation in Ukraine and the need for unifying efforts to implement Minsk agreements to solve the crisis in the country.
