Updated-More than 205,000 high school students start their final exams

Damascus, SANA More than 205,000 students started on Tuesday their Secondary Education (high school) final exams in all provinces.

Director of General Examinations Directorate Younes Fati pointed out that the Education Ministry has completed preparations for the exams process, pointing out that the total number of students taking the 12th grade exams is 205,543, among them 72,788 in the literary branch, 105,331 in the scientific branch and 1708 in Religious Secondary Schools (Sharia), 12,752 in the vocational branch.

1848 centers have been prepared for the exams for all Secondary School branches, including the scientific, literary, Sharia and vocational.

Fati added that the ministry has completed all necessary measures to make the exams process a success.

The exams are scheduled to last till June 15th.

A government delegation, headed by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, inspected the examination process in Qudsaya Suburb in Damascus Countryside.

Speaking to reporters, Khamis said that the Syrian state is continuing its work until the full victory is achieved in various aspects, adding that the Ministry of Education will continue to follow up on a daily basis to ensure that the examination process runs well.

For his part, Education Minister Hazwan al-Waz said that the Ministry will take the appropriate and decisive measures to address any defect that may face the examination process immediately and will not hesitate to take any action against violators.
