Shaaban: Khan Sheikhoun incident is fabricated.. Syria is ready to confront any aggression

Damascus, SANA – Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban reiterated that the local reconciliations taking place throughout the country without foreign interference are the best way to restore security and stability to Syria.

In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV channel on Wednesday, Shabaan stressed that the US attack on al-Shairat airbase came in the aftermath of the Syrian army’s achievements on the ground and the losses inflicted upon the terrorist organizations as well as Russia’s increasing role in settling the crisis in Syria, describing as “wrong” the impression about the inability of Syria and its allies to respond to the US aggression.

She stated that Khan Sheikhoun incident is definitely fabricated, adding that Syria got rid of all chemical weapons as declared by the Organization of the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in June 2014.

Shaaban reviewed accurate scientific researches for US, British and German professors who refuted the false claims about Khan Sheikhoun incident and stressed that it was fabricated with the aim of targeting the Syrian government.

The diplomat referred to the recently-published report by the CIA on information about a plan to destroy Syria since 1986 to ensure that it will give up its stances towards defending Arabism and supporting Palestine.

She pointed out to the role of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey in providing support to Muslim Brotherhood for the sake of destroying secular states.

Shaaban hailed the Lebanese President Michel Aoun’s attitudes towards Syria, underlining the mutual understanding between Syria and Egypt.

She stressed that fighting terrorism and the battle on the ground are what really matters for now, stressing that Syria is ready to confront any aggression .
