Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergy Lavrov on Monday stressed that the US aggression against Syria is unacceptable.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Lavrov, during a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, said that Washington’s act of aggression against Syria under illusive pretexts is unacceptable.
The two sides emphasized the need to conduct an impartial international investigation on the use of chemical weapons, with stress laid on that the crisis in Syria cannot be settled by military means.
The ministers agreed on continuing joint efforts to support the cessation of hostilities in Syria, calling for more intense negotiations in Astana and Geneva according to the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the statement of the International Syria Support Group.
