Russian Foreign Ministry summons Israel’s Ambassador over Israeli attack on Syrian territory

Moscow, SANA – Russian Foreign Ministry affirmed on Friday that it asked for clarifications from the Israeli entity after Israel’s air force attack on Syrian territory on Friday.

Four Israeli warplanes violated the Syrian airspace in al-Breij area through the Lebanese territories at 2:40 am on Friday and targeted a military site near Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs province.

The General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces confirmed that the Syria air defense forces confronted the enemy’s aircrafts and shot down one of them inside the occupied territories, hit another and forced the other two to flee.

RT reported that Israeli Ambassador in Moscow Gary Korenwas called in for a talk with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov who asked for clarifications on the Israeli jets’ violation of Syrian airspace.
