Astana, SANA-The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, arrived in the Kazakh capital to participate in the 3rd round of Astana talks on the Crisis in Syria.
Two previous meetings were earlier held in Astana, the first of which was held on January 23-24 as its final statement stressed the adherence to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria and that the only solution to the crisis in Syria will be through a political process, in addition to declaring the establishment of a trilateral mechanism to monitor the cessation of hostilities.
While the second meeting was held on February 16th as it reiterated the consolidation of the cessation of hostilities agreement.
