Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Emad Khamis on Saturday offered condolences to families of the martyrs who were killed in the two terrorist bombings that hit Bab al-Saghir area in Damascus.
on Saturday noon, terrorists detonated two explosive devices near Bab al-Saghir Cemetery, killing a number of people and injuring scores in addition to causing material damage to the cemetery and to the public and private properties.
Meeting families of the martyrs, Khamis stressed that the great sacrifices of the Syrian people will remain a torch that will shine for ever to defend Syria and they will “strengthen us and enhance our determination to defend our homeland regardless of the challenges.”
“Syria will remain an example to follow in fighting terrorism by all the countries of the world,” Khamis added.
For their part, families of the martyrs affirmed that sacrifice is a duty and that terrorism will not undermine their steadfastness and their determination to defeat it.
The Premier listened to the demands of the martyrs’ families, affirming that the Government pays a great attention to them.
Premier Khamis also visited al-Mujtahed and al-Mowasat hospitals to check on the medical conditions of the wounded in the terrorist bombings as he was briefed by the medical cadre on their situation and the services provided to them.
For their part, the wounded thanked the medical staff for being ready since the first moment to receive them and for the services they provided to them.
