Moscow, SANA- Russian National Guard chief Viktor Zolotov on Thursday stressed that the war against terrorism in Syria continues.
In an interview with TASS, Zolotov went on to say that Russia’s National Guard continued to combat terrorism in Syria. “It’s not a secret anymore that National Guard forces are involved in the fight against terrorism in the Syria.
He added that “Our troops are ensuring the safety of humanitarian missions, escorting convoys and facilitating demining efforts.”
The Russian aerospace forces started in 2015 a military operation upon the request of the Syrian State to support the efforts of the Syrian Arab Army in its war against terrorism, which resulted in destroying thousands of targets for the terrorist organizations , including equipment, various kinds of weapons , facilities to produce shells, vehicles, cars and tankers that transport the stolen Syrian oil into the Turkish lands.
