Brigadier General al-Dalati: We welcome spiritual leadership of Druze community stance to cooperate with Interior Ministry

Sweida, SANA- Commander of Internal Security Forces in Sweida Governorate, Brigadier General Ahmad al-Dalati, welcomed the position of spiritual leadership of Druze community of calling on all armed factions in Sweida to cooperate with Interior forces Ministry and hand over their weapons.

“We welcome the position of spiritual leadership of Druze community, represented by His Eminence Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, and appreciate this responsible national stance”, al-Dalati quoted Interior Ministry as saying in a statement posted on its Telegram channel.

He went on saying “We call on all religious authorities and social activists to adopt such unified national stance which supports the ministry’s efforts to extend state authority and achieve security in the province”.

Al-Dalati added: “We call on leaders of outlaw armed factions and groups to cease any actions that obstruct the entry of Interior and Defense Ministry forces, and to fully cooperate through handing over their weapons to the concerned authorities, in order to preserve civil peace and protect the civilians.
