Berlin,March 7 (SANA) The 60th edition of the International Tourism Exchange (ITB Berlin) concluded in the German capital with Syria participating through a national pavilion that brought together the Ministry of Tourism and several Syrian tourism, travel, and aviation companies.
The Syrian pavilion drew notable interest from visitors, media representatives, and international newspapers, who explored the country’s diverse tourism assets and the wide range of travel routes and experiences it offers.

Faraj Al Qashqoush, Deputy Minister of Tourism for Hotels and Quality, stated in remarks to SANA that Syria’s participation represents an opportunity to highlight the country’s rich tourism potential and introduce the diversity of its tourism products.
The Ministry’s participation also included professional meetings and media interviews that enhanced Syria’s visibility and supported efforts to promote the Syrian destination internationally.

This marks Syria’s first participation in the exhibition since liberation, reflecting a broader orientation toward revitalizing the tourism sector, promoting Syrian destinations, and opening new avenues of cooperation with international markets, steps that contribute to supporting tourism as an economic and developmental pillar.
The exhibition hosted around 6,000 exhibitors from more than 160 countries, offering Syria a broad platform to showcase its tourism capabilities.
