Syria's “Agritex” Exhibition concludes with promising investment prospects

Damascus, SANA-The 23rd edition of the “Agritex” International Exhibition for Agricultural and Veterinary Supplies concluded Sunday evening at the Damascus Fairgrounds.

The exhibition showcased equipment, supplies, and products related to plant and animal production, as well as veterinary medicines, with the participation of 142 companies from Syria and various Arab and foreign countries.

Dr. Hussein al-Ballan, President of the Syrian Veterinary Association, stated to SANA’s correspondent that a number of participating companies expressed interest in investing in Syria and establishing manufacturing facilities in the animal feed production sector. This aligns with government efforts to create a favorable and comfortable investment climate. He also highlighted the exhibition’s importance as a platform for knowledge and expertise exchange and a venue to showcase each company’s innovations in animal resources and agricultural and veterinary production supplies.

Dr. al-Ballan added that the broad participation from local, regional, and international companies reflects the effectiveness of the exhibition, which attracted more than 18,000 visitors.

The four-day exhibition was organized by Atassi Exhibitions, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Federation of Chambers of Agriculture, and the Veterinarians Syndicate.
