Malaysia reaffirms commitment to strengthening relations with Syria

Malaysia reaffirms commitment to strengthening relations with Syria

Kuala Lumpur-SANA-Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reiterated his country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Syria.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Ibrahim said, “Malaysia is committed to developing and improving bilateral relations with Syria, particularly in the economic field.

Anwar stressed Malaysia’s readiness to encourage local companies to invest in Syria, contributing to its rebuilding process.

He added “President al-Sharaa has also invited me to visit Syria as an effort to further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries”.

During the phone, Ibrahim congratulated Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa on the formation of Syria’s new government, expressed his wishes for further prosperity and progress for the Syrian people.
