Held at the ministry’s headquarters, the meeting addressed ways to strengthen coordination on mine action, disaster-risk reduction, rapid emergency response and child safety in schools, including the development of a specialized guide.
The discussions also covered climate-related issues and projects aimed at strengthening the resilience of families and communities to climate impacts, according to a ministry statement.
The two sides also discussed UNICEF’s role in supporting the “Syria Without Camps” vision and cooperation on emergency humanitarian response programs, including nutrition projects and other initiatives targeting the most vulnerable groups. The efforts seek to integrate national and international responses and improve the efficiency of humanitarian operations.
