Damascus, April 25 (SANA) A security source announced the arrest of several relatives of Amjad Youssef, including his father, a day after his capture at his home in Hama countryside.
The source told SANA that the arrests were carried out on suspicion of involvement in concealing his whereabouts over the past period.
The Ministry of Interior announced on Friday the arrest of Youssef, the main perpetrator of the 2013 Tadamon massacre in Damascus, which claimed the lives of dozens of civilians and was later documented by international investigations that sparked widespread outrage due to its brutality.
The massacre occurred on April 16, 2013, in the Tadamon neighborhood south of Damascus, during a security campaign by the deposed regime against areas outside its control. According to local and human rights documentation, unarmed civilians were detained, blindfolded, and bound before being taken to a mass execution site.
