Washington,April 21 (SANA) U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson said on Tuesday that “Free Syria” is represented in Washington for the first time with the appointment of a chargé d’affaires to its embassy.
“I am grateful to be the first Member of Congress to receive Mohammed Qanatri, Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United States of America. I presented his government with official copies of the Caesar repeal,” Wilson wrote on X.
He added, “For the first time, free Syria is represented in Washington, and President Trump’s vision of giving Syria a chance is being realized.”
