Hasakah, March 19 (SANA)    Presidential envoy for following up the implementation of the Jan. 29 agreement with the SDF, Brig. Gen. Ziad al-Ayesh, announced that more than 600 detainees will be released today from SDF prisons as part of efforts to address the detainees file in line with the agreement and within law enforcement procedures.

Al-Ayesh stressed that the suffering of detainees’ families is shared, noting that this file is a top priority, with continued work to secure the release of remaining detainees and clarify the fate of the missing in the near future.

On Wednesday, al-Ayesh met with SDF commander Mazloum Abdi to discuss arrangements for releasing a second batch of detainees and to follow up on the file of integrating the SDF into Syrian state institutions.

On Jan. 29, the Syrian government announced an agreement with the SDF on a ceasefire within a comprehensive deal, including a sequential integration of military and administrative structures, the entry of security forces into the centers of Hasakah and Qamishli, and the handover of all civil institutions, government bodies, crossings and border points to the state.
