Ankara, Feb. 17 (SANA) — Syrian Minister of Health Musab al-Ali held talks in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart Kemal Memişoğlu on strengthening bilateral health cooperation and accelerating hospital infrastructure projects.
According to Syria’s Ministry of Health, the discussions focused on expanding cooperation in medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, staff training and the development of healthcare services.
The two sides agreed to speed up implementation steps to complete Aleppo Hospital and the old wing of the Damascus Cardiac Diseases and Surgery Hospital, with the aim of bringing both facilities into service as soon as possible to meet public healthcare needs.
The meeting also reviewed mechanisms for coordinating efforts and exchanging medical and technical expertise, as part of broader efforts to improve healthcare quality and system capacity.
The talks build on earlier contacts between the two health ministries, including a meeting held in December with a Turkish Health Ministry delegation, reflecting ongoing coordination in the health sector.
