Amman, Aug. 22 (SANA) The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Saturday the Israeli occupation’s targeting of a civilian vehicle in Beit Jinn, Damascus Countryside, asserting that it represents a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
In a statement published on the X platform, the official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Fouad al-Majali, stressed the necessity of halting repeated Israeli aggression and actions targeting Syria’s security, which violate the UN Charter and Israel’s commitments under the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Al-Majali called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel to cease its illegal provocative attacks on Syria, end its occupation of Syrian territory, and respect international law and state sovereignty.
He renewed Jordan’s firm stance in supporting Syria’s reconstruction on foundations that ensure its unity, sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.
Earlier today, an Israeli occupation drone targeted a civilian vehicle on the road between Mazraat Beit Jinn and Beit Jinn village west of Damascus Countryside, injuring several civilians.
