Damascus, Jan 24 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Army’s Operations Command has warned the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the terrorist PKK militias against continuing their violations, announcing the imminent opening of humanitarian corridors in Hasakah province.
In a statement to SANA on Saturday, the Operations Command said that the SDF had brought in reinforcements from terrorist PKK militias from the Qandil Mountains to Hasakah, noting that the group continues to commit widespread violations in areas under its control, including arbitrary arrests, forced displacement and torture of those who oppose its policies.
The Operations Command cautioned the SDF and PKK militias against ongoing provocations, the dissemination of false information and the circulation of misleading video footage, adding that it is currently assessing the field situation and operational conditions to determine the next step.
The statement said humanitarian corridors will be opened in the coming hours to deliver aid and assistance in coordination with the relevant ministries.
The Operations Command stressed that the Syrian Arab Army will remain the protective shield of all Syrian society, safeguard the unity of the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, and confront all cross-border terrorist projects.
Earlier, a government source told SANA that the truce with the SDF had ended, noting that the Syrian government is considering its options.
