Farmers General Union exhibits attract visitors to Damascus International Fair

Damascus, SANA-The exhibits of The Farmers General Union pavilions at the Damascus International Fair witnessed a wide turnout of visitors.

Participants considered the agricultural exhibits an opportunity to enhance the presence of farmers and rural women in local and external markets.

Idlib Governorate’s participation in dried figs, for which the Jabal al-Zawiya is famous, and olive oil in Salqin and Harem While Quneitra’s Products were grapes, olives, cherries, barley and wheat.

Tartous Introduced tropical fruits such as Dracon, Egyptian mango, avocado, and banana, with an emphasis on connecting producers with importers.

Hama Participated through pistachio and silkworm cooperatives to produce natural silk.

Homs displayed rural products such as pomegranate molasses, malban, and apple cider vinegar, in addition to wooden artifacts and works of art that reflect Syrian heritage.

Damascus and its countryside provided handicrafts made of kilim and crochet threads, and natural and heritage products, with a focus on supporting small projects and empowering talents.
