United Nations Denies Sending Delegation to Sweida

New York, SANA- The United Nations refuted reports circulated by some media outlets claiming it had dispatched a delegation to Sweida, Syria.
The Office of the Resident Coordinator and the Humanitarian Coordinator for the UN in Syria clarified in a statement, a copy of which received by SANA: “The United Nations, including all of its entities, has not sent any delegation to Sweida.”
The statement added that “the UN is planning with its humanitarian partners to send a delegation to assess needs and deliver essential aid, as soon as conditions allow, and in full coordination with the relevant authorities.”
The office reiterated the UN’s call for restoring calm, protecting civilians, and de-escalating tensions.
